Philsoc Away Day Archive

Philsoc AwayDay has been an annual event since 2012. On all occasions so far took place place at Piggotts, a sprawling farmhouse set in the glorious Bucks countryside. Pigotts was once the home of Eric Gill the sculptor, whose statue Prospero and Ariel adorns Broadcasting House. There are many traces of Gill's work around Pigotts and Nick Wheeler-Robinson its current owner is always happy to tell visitors about the place. Music camps have been run at Piggotts since 1965 (continuing a tradition started by Nick's father in 1927), but philosophical gatherings are a new departure.

There are no AwayDay recordings, but talk texts and perhaps some other material are available in some cases.
